about me

artist's statement
My work is always concerned with those positioned as "other" by society, whoever they may be. I am fascinated by the human form and further fascinated by the hybridization and queering of the body. Trans folk, furries, leather, kink, butches, femmes, and other queer bodies are found often in my work, as well as werewolves, predators, animals, monsters, and beasts. I depict these things not only because I identify with them, but because making them tangible—real, visual, strong, beautiful—is a form of resistance and a love letter. I am unapologetic in my explorations and may deal in themes that you find morally objectionable (that is likely the point).

Me and, as such, my work are interested in contemporary feminist and queer theory. I am invested in deconstructing heteronormativity, white supremacy, classism, and all forms of marginalization through critical introspection and intersectional discourse. One way I try to do this is through my art. I seek to represent my personal experiences and in doing so create a mirror for others.

I come from a family of designers and as such my work incorperates visual design theory heavily, in addition to more classical inspirations. I most often work digitally in 2D raster art programs, but I find a growing love for physical mediums like charcoal and paint. I consider myself to be primarily self-taught, but I am pursuing higher education in art.

I want to believe that our pedagogical and artists’ acts of resistance can do some damage to the cultural hegemony of Euro-America and, in the process, do some good for the growing consciousness of our nation. [...] I am trying to find the words. I am learning to spell revolution.

— Cherrie Moraga, Loving in the War Years

who i am
hi! im ace, im 20 and im an artist and i looove being pretentious! (kidding, kind of. i just like making choices about my communication)

i use he/him (in a they/them way) and self identify as butch, transsexual, queer, gray-aroace, genderweird, werewolf, and various other terms. im currently on track to graduate with a BFA in fine art with additional studies in museum + gallery practice. i love indie music. i love theatre, musicals, and movies. i love storytelling. i love sex, sexuality, kink, and fetish.

ive been on testosterone hrt since 1/23/23 and got top surgery on 6/18/25! isnt that crazy?

i don't really care how people use my art so long as they are doing it in good faith and not for malicious profit extraction*. basically, go wild. trace me. get me tattooed. use me as a profile picture. i dont care, art is for everyone to iterate upon forever! all i ask is that you show me if you do something cool!
*that means big companies can fuck off, and ai lovers can also fuck off.

my positionality
I'm white, middle class, male-passing, able-bodied, and do not meaningfully struggle in academic settings. I am also transgender, nonbinary, queer, and neurodivergent. I say this not because I particularly identify with all of these terms, but to clarify where I am positioned in society. I do not pretend that my artwork can escape the confines of my body, and my art is firmly rooted in the experience I have had in my life.

The function of art is to do more than tell it like it is – it’s to imagine what is possible.

— bell hooks, Outlaw Culture

I’m convinced if we’re to be artists of any worth we must lock ourselves in a room and work. There are no two ways around this one, no shortcut, no magic word to save the day. Take it as a given, you’ll cry, despair, think you’ll die, that you can’t possibly do it, that it’s a lonely task, you’ll lose faith in yourself, especially at night. But when you finish crying and despairing, you can wipe your eyes and . . . the work is still there waiting.

— Sandra Cisneros, A House of My Own

note about "DNI"s
I don't have a DNI (do not interact) and don't particularly care who you are when enaging with my work. I am a left-leaning transsexual who hates the prison industrial complex—my existance will be a better filter than a list. I do not find splitting hairs on which ideologies I do or dont want to enage with me to be a good use of my time. I also do not ascribe morality to people's feelings, thoughts, attractions, or sexual interests. Take that as you will.
